Buchholz Relay

The Buchholz relay was developed by Max Buchholz (1875-1956). Since 1940s it has been an important protection and monitoring device for insulating liquid filled transformers with conservator. It responds to faults such as gas generation, loss of and also high flow rates of the insulating liquid.
